🇺🇸 Red, White & BOOM! 💥

The Party in the USA release is a little red, white, and blue love letter to America’s 250th birthday — filled with nostalgic Americana charm and all the cheerful summer vibes. For my first project I Lit Up The Sky with lots of sparkly fireworks atop a beautifully watercolored background panel (scroll down to see how that background panel was created) then placed it all behind the Des Moines cityscape for a truly magical celebratory evening under the stars. Cue the Fireworks!!!

This next project uses the vintage style Postmarked - Americana Foil It panels and coordinating cutting plate for those darling letters and envelopes that are spilling out of the You've Got Mail mailbox. I finished this one off using a big, bold sentiment from the Star-Spangled Sentiments Stamp Set also included in this new Patriotic release at Taylored Expressions.

And for my final project this week I had fun creating a sparkly interactive shaker card using dies from Hang On Stars die set to create the window panel then laying it atop the card base embossed with the fabulous new Stars & Stripes 3D embossing folder. This one is filled with both more stars cut out of colored card stock using the smallest dies from the Hang On Stars die set as well as shaker bits from Bits & Pieces - Patriotic Party which features red & blue sprinkles, white clay stars, and circular American flags! So cute and festive!!!

As I usually do in my Release Blog Posts, I like to include some In Process photos so you can follow along as my cards come together. ☺️ I did use pieces of watercolor card stock for both the 'lights' for my cityscape as well as the watercolor 'sky' panel behind the fireworks.
