Tri-Colored Feathers

Honestly, this card is stunning in person! The three layers (actually there's 4) of the feathers stands out and really ads life and dimension to this card.

Using the Taylored Expressions The Insiders - Sympathy card panel along with The Thing With Feathers stamps make this a quick and easy card to create for those times when you need a sympathy or remembrance card for a loved one.

To help the sentiment really stand out, I foiled the panel using Taylored Expressions Gold Shimmer Fun Foil, then splattered the panel with Gansai Tambi pearlescent paint.

After I chose the feather I wanted to use from the The Thing With Feathers stamp set, I used my Misti so I could use 3 different ink colors (Sea Salt, Oyster & Mushroom) to give the feathers a realistic look. Just tamp each color onto the stamp and use a bitty blender brush to 'feather' the colors so you don't have any harsh lines.

Before moving the stamp to the next position I used Taylored Expressions Unicorn Sparkle Mist and painted that on to the stamp using a medium sized paint brush. You cannot believe how beautiful this makes those feathers! It's magical!

Now just move that feather stamp to another location and repeat the inking and misting technique 2 more times then assemble your card front to a card base and you're all done!
