Candy Cane matching card & Gift Card holder
With this latest Taylored Expressions product release the theme is Gift Giving and while I was creating several gift card holders using the new Tag Pocket 2 die set I fell in love with the festive gift card holder I created with a candy cane motif so just had to make a matching greeting card! Then embellishing them both with sparkly white bows using the new Take A Bow die set. Didn't they turn out so cute?!?
For starters I grabbed the Peppermint Kisses Stencil & Die Combo and watermelon ink to create several of the candy canes. Once I finished inking these up I spritzed them with my favorite Unicorn Sparkle Mist and set them aside to dry.
While I have the Unicorn Mist out, I grabbed a piece of Sugar Cube card stock and spritzed it and set it aside. I'll use that piece to cut out those adorable bows from the Take A Bow die set once it's dry.
Using the new Tag Trimmings stamps I inked up a piece of sugar cube card stock with watermelon ink then cut that piece down to 3/4" wide to embellish the card and tag beneath the white bows.
To give dimension to the greeting card I used the A2 Layer Stacklets and the Additional A2 Layer Stacklets to cut the base and the 2 layers out of Watermelon card stock. Then I took the top layer and placed it in my Misti and stamped the sentiment using the All Is Calm sentiment set then splattered that layer with Gansai Tambi - Starry Colors.
I then assembled both the gift card holder and greeting card and finished them off with some cute snowflakes from the Little Bits - Snowflake Confetti dies.
Thanks so much for reading along. Can't wait to see what you create next so be sure to tag me in the Fans of Taylored Expressions group so I can cheer you on! 💕
