I cannot tell you how much I love the O Christmas Tree stamp and stencil set from Taylored Expressions. I've created SO many cards with it so thought I'd share this fun Hinge card that I made today.

I've included step by step photos and instructions for you so you can follow along. Depending on the Focal Image you choose, you'll need to adjust your cuts and score lines. I suggest cutting a piece of typing paper first to make sure it all works so you don't waste card stock and embossed / stenciled / ink-blended pieces. {Ask me how I know 🫣}
If you have any questions about the process don't hesitate to send me a message so I can help you out. This really came together pretty quickly once I made my typing paper template (after messing up the entire design the first time).
Follow along here . . .
I'll give you the run-down but again, if you have any questions I'm here to help 😊
Stamp your Tree onto a piece of sugar cube cardstock then ink blend using the stencils and inks of your choice. If you use paste on the ornaments stencil, be sure to set it aside to dry completely before using the coordinating tree die to cut it out.
Next cut a piece of cardstock to 10-1/2" x 5-1/2" then score at 4-1/4".
Now with the card base open, score the right side panel at 7/8 ". Glue that piece then folder over to the inside and press to seal.
Now you'll want to measure and cut 7/8" off the opposite side of the card base (which is the left side of the card base.
For these next few steps you'll want to either use an embossing folder or another ink blended panel measuring of 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".
Once you have that panel ready cut it at 7/8" so you have two pieces to fit the front of the card base and the inside right panel where you glued and folded that piece over.
Glue the right half of the tree and adhere it on top of your embossed panel (see photo). Be sure NOT to glue the entire tree or your hinge card won't work.
I used some TE foil cardstock to create my cute little presents but you can use regular cardstock or embellish however you choose.
Taylored Expressions has several Holiday sentiments so use whatever resonates with you for the outside. I used an Insider panel and cut it to fit for the inside then cut another piece of plain sugar cube cardstock for writing a message on but you do you. 😊
If you're going to copy my design here's a list of products I used. The Winter Flurry embossing folder you'll see in my photos as well as on my completed card is retired so you'll need to find something else to use like maybe the Tiny Twinkles embossing folder or the Favorite Sweater embossing folder or find something similar you have in your stash. Other than that, everything I used is available for purchase as of the day of this Blog post.
Taylored Expressions products:
and of course a Misti, Bearly Arts Glue, Glass Mat, Glass Mat Magnets, and a handful of Blending Brushes
Thanks so much for stopping by and following along. I hope you'll give this fun Hinge design a try. It really is fun and everyone loves to receiving it so they can display it on their desk or mantel. Be sure to tag me if you make a Hinge card and post it onto the TE FANS FB page. I'd love to see how your card turn out 🩵
I hope you have an amazing day and have fun getting your supplies out. Be sure to enjoy every minute of your crafty time. It's good for your soul.
xoxo, Deby 💕
