Gift Card Holder cards using the Pocketful die!
I was putting my 'For Him' release products away when I looked at the new 'Pocketful' die and thought it'd be a great way to hold a Gift Card so I pulled everything back out and got to work to create this fun Father's Day card and a Birthday card with a surprise!
For the Father's Day card insert piece I just measured and used my trimmer to get it to fit perfectly and at a length to hide the gift card but also long enough to go to the bottom of the inside of the pocket.
For the gift card holder I used a die I have in my stash that's part of the Pretty Package die set. This way the insert could snuggly hold onto the gift card so it could be slipped in and out of the pocket.
I built the bottom and sides of the pocket up with 3 layers around the edges so the gift card insert with the gift card could slip in and out with ease.
Just when I was about to assemble the card I decided to add a button plaque on the side of the card panel to make it look like a real shirt, then as I rifled through my dies looking for something small and round for the buttons I looked at the handle of the wrench from the 'Tools Of The Trade' die set and found the perfect sized circle for the buttons!
After adding some shading on the button plaque, pocket and edges of the card front it was time to assemble everything!
This just goes to show that using a little ingenuity you can do anything your mind conjures up!
Just for kicks I took the insert and cut it to fit on top of the Pocket then just slipped the Gift Card into the pocket. Either way it works! If you want the gift card hidden, then use the insert. If you don't mind the gift card showing, then do it like this!
And for the bright floral Birthday card with the Gift Card pocket, I used some foam tape strips to lift the pocket up off the front panel as well as secure a slot for the Gift Card!
This card came together quickly because I used a shaving cream background I had done during a Zoom class I held a while back and had it in my stash then embellished it with flowers cut from the exclusive Taylored Expressions GWP Pocket Full of Posies dies!
